Five islands off Deira’s coast.
Nakheel introduced its new Dubai Islands masterplan vision in August 2022. The destination connects waterfront neighbourhoods with beaches, hotels and planned leisure facilities on the northern side of Dubai.
The five islands are named Central Island, Marina Island, Shore Island, Golf Island and Elite Island. These names describe the wider destination; your purchase belongs to a particular project and phase. Start with its position on the current plan, then compare the home, shoreline and access around it.

Dubai Islands Beach
The public beach opened in 2023 beside the Centara Mirage and Riu hotels. Nakheel’s opening announcement included beach sports and a dog-friendly area. Visit the beach to get a feel for the setting, and check current access rules before bringing a pet.
Life by the marina
Nakheel launched its Dubai Islands marina in May 2023, with the public beach within walking distance. For a home near the waterfront, compare the actual walk to the marina and shoreline, rather than relying on a sea-view label.
Resort surroundings
Hotels and beach facilities give visitors a way to experience part of Dubai Islands while residential neighbourhoods continue to develop. Public access, hotel facilities and private residential amenities have different terms; check what your chosen home includes.

Coastal living with a connection to older Dubai.
Dubai Islands is connected by road to Deira. Its location makes the journey to the older parts of the city a useful part of a viewing: try the route to your workplace, school or usual meeting places, starting from the building you are considering.

Dubai Islands is being delivered in phases. In October 2026, Nakheel announced new shoreline works on Island B near Bay Villas, scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027. This is a planned delivery date, not a statement that the beach works are finished.

Request the current price, floor plan, payment schedule and written handover information for the exact home. For a branded residence, ask which services are included and which carry separate charges.

Is Dubai Islands the same as Palm Jebel Ali?
No. Dubai Islands is off Deira’s coast. Palm Jebel Ali is a separate Nakheel destination in the Jebel Ali area. They serve different parts of Dubai, so compare your likely journeys as well as the homes.

Does every home have beach access?
Confirm access for the specific building and property. A waterfront location or sea view does not by itself establish private beach access or the services included with ownership.

Completion and occupancy depend on the project and phase. Request the latest written status for the exact property, including access, utilities and the facilities expected to be open at handover.
